Cool little detail - Xcode 27 has a menu bar item showing which projects have an active MCP connection to an agent I think this is actually not from Xcode itself, but the new MCP CLI it ships with
Jev is a fantastic example of co-designing SDKs and models to unlock a new paradigm! When we were designing the Swift API for Apple’s Foundation Models framework two years ago, we wanted to make type-safe structured responses the standard for apps on our platform. That is why we created the `@Generable` API, making constrained decoding approachable to app developers. This effectively eliminated structural hallucinations in both tool call arguments and responses, which were especially important for a small on-device model. developer.apple.com/documentation/… It would be fascinating to see decision models conform to the `LanguageModel` protocol and work with `@Generable` natively! The best part is that all the APIs are already there: Bools are "noul", enums represent choices, and `@Guide` descriptions are instructions. A Swift model implementation simply needs to handle a schema conversation, and output probabilities can be stored directly in the response metadata. developer.apple.com/documentation/…

Making lots of progress porting LaunchBuddy from platform-based layout decisions to sizeclass-based I'm using my own agent skill for SwiftUI on iPhone Duo + Xcode's built-in "App Resizability" skill Took a few iterations to get to this state, but I'm super happy with the progress so far Next I will have to improve the layout for the Duo + make sure iPhone, iPad, and Mac layouts didn't break!
Siri can read what's on your screen in iOS 27. For that to work, you tell it which App Entity a view represents. When one item fills the screen, annotate it with NSUserActivity.
10 days ago I launched GameToMac. It started because I wanted to play Age of Empires IV on my Mac and couldn’t get it running properly. So I started fixing it myself. Since then: thousands of users, 10+ games added, and a huge amount of demand for more. AoE IV, CS2, Diablo IV, PoE 2, CoH3 and others are now running smoothly on Apple Silicon. There are thousands more Windows games that will soon become playable on Mac. AI is making it possible to debug compatibility issues and ship support much faster than before. Mac gaming is finally becoming real. Just getting started 🚀
