我能看到两朵乌云 1. Tokio 作为一个 Runtime 还是不太舒服，如果要做一个 Web 方案，大概率还是像 Ntex 一样自己糊一套好一点。 2. Rust 元编程跟 Ruby 还是有很大差距，proc-macro 那一套并不好。从元编程模型上看 Ruby 甚至要更好，只是那一套运行时反射的性能比较抱歉。不过 Web 编程不在乎。

This sort of thing has happened forever, but trust me... big labs are now deploying thousands of agents to reach the ideal vertically integrated shape for their business as fast as possible and asking questions later. LLMs reduce the complexity cost too much. If you want to build a business out of something - keep something internal. If it’s OSS, then think about the license and really care about the product. They’re still careless with DX.

They employee some of the sharpest minds in databases, too. The minds that come out of programs at TUM or CMU and are just wizards with databases work. I’ve spent 25 years working on, studying, etc. DBs and TigerBeetle continuously ranks at the top. I mean, it’s Zig, but they do Zig better than anyone on the planet (sorry Ghostty). I’ve been thinking about your tweet the other day for a while. The DB architecture that’s the cleanest… it’s TigerBeetle, but there are other really good ones. SQLite is great. Turso has done amazing work around it, too. They’re stacked over there, too. FoundationDB was a marvel. RocksDB and LMBD are worth looking at. Turbopuffer isn’t quite a database, but they’re doing amazing shit, too. GreptimeDB is clever and well built. InfluxDB. HelixDB. RonDB. Redis. Valkey. I’m missing a ton. The smartest and most talented are working in DBs.
