@Franc0Fernand0 There is 2nd edition for this book, so 1st one is outdated. The title of book is deceiving which they corrected in 2nd edition. It’s basically build distributed application using Kubernetes. The book is mostly about how to build application using Kubernetes.

@0xlelouch_ Three solution from worst to best. 1) weighted load balancing. 2x CPU server will get 2x response. 2) route request to least connections server. 3) periodically prob resource consumption of all server. Route request to least idle server.

@SumitM_X Oh man. The first question should be why the microservice B reading stale data. If both are reading same DB, not cache, and if transaction marked by A is complete, then B should read the persisted data.

Why remote work didn't work? Why are all the great AI startups coming out of SF (despite all the hype from wannabe startup hubs such as Miami)? Why cannot we replicate great cities? The answer to all these questions lie in the intelligence behind human swarms. I spent 2 years researching Mulitagent systems and swarms for my Masters thesis. An office is a brain of its own, with individual workers as neurons. For the neurons to fire properly, there needs to be proximity. This is why, despite all the cost advantages and tech advances, almost every successful company is bringing its employees back to office. You cannot zoom away an office or a school. Similarly, a firm or an enterprise is a swarm. You cannot reduce it to a sum of its individual employees. There is collective intelligence that is very hard to understand and measure. A city is a swarm, too. It has its own mega mind that is nearly impossible to replicate. This is why if you need career success, you need to move to great cities that fit your career. You cannot just kid yourself that you would commute or fly and be a part of that ecosystem. You cannot. Just as 10 minutes of scuba diving doesn't make you part of a fish school. Swarm systems are one of the least appreciated research topics and the one that contain key ideas to many of our human problems.

@jbrancha updatedAt is not needed when you don’t update any existing rows in table. Basically it is append-only table. I have used such table at my workplace.

@ishwinder In 2021,the approval rate was 60%. Amazing it increased to 90%. Don’t think there will be homelessness. 10 students in 2 bedroom apartment. Don’t think there will be drop in wages. You can’t go below minimum wage set by govt. In Ontario, it’s 16.55,illegal to give less than that.

@bazlur_rahman Basically private method should tested through some other public method. There is Powermock which allows you to test private method, but not recommended. You can check in cove coverage if private method codes are covered.

@LavanPath It is difficult to predict recession but I read your multiple tweets saying same thing: recession in 2024 and depression in 2030. The last depression was almost century ago, but I don’t know what does depression looks like, how will be economy or inflation, jobs etc.
