What does “clean code” mean to you? To me, it’s code that's based on clear thinking. It’s not code that's written with the fewest lines possible, or code that proves you understand the most esoteric features of your language or framework, but code that “shows your work” aka it’s “self documenting”), respects the conventions and idioms of the codebase, and shows a solid understanding of the business domain it serves.
