When you hire the right person, you won't ever want to lose them. When you hire the wrong person, you either know right away (which is great), or you're not quite sure. Hire a virtual assistant who uses Claude all day. You’ll be insanely, insanely more productive.

10x engineers get all the attention, but you can be a 10x in any profession. Here's how to become a 10x in your field and outcompete everyone else. 1. Delegate more. The more you delegate, the more you get done. Delegate constantly to both to AI agents and to other people. Make it the default way you get things done. 2. Work on multiple things in parallel. You should always have at least 3 ongoing projects you've delegated to other people. 3. Drop the perfectionist attitude for 99% of your tasks, so you can be a perfectionist about only what matters most. Is it the #1 most important thing you should be doing? Then be obsessive and perfectionist. For everything else, delegate it and be ok with a different approach to getting it done. 4. If you can afford it, hire an assistant. It's even more important than hiring a personal trainer, accountant, or lawyer. They'll help you set up everything else in your life. 5. Most people don't delegate enough and take on more ambitious projects due to psychological hangups. Find a way to get over them. 6. Never give up. If you're not seeing results, throw someone else at it. Try again and again until you find a way forward. Leverage is easy to obtain in 2026. Be comfortable wielding it, and people will be amazed at what you're able to accomplish.

What's the best way to actually get things done? Surprisingly, science has an answer to this. It's called Implementation Intentions. A meta-study combining 94 independent tests, across 8,000+ people, found that this single method positively correlated with actually getting the task done. It's simple to do. You can do it yourself or use AI to do it for you. For each goal, specify an "if-then." If X, then Y. Example: - Goal: "I'll exercise more." - Implementation intention: "If it is 7 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, then I will put on my running shoes and walk for 30 minutes." Example: - Goal: "I want more users for my product." - Implementation intention: "If it's 9 a.m., then I will send cold outbound emails to companies in my target industry for 1 hour." The key is to state specifically where, when, and how you'll take action. Then put it on your calendar. You can run Claude or ChatGPT on your entire to-do list and have it build this out for you. Even better, if you have a virtual assistant, you can delegate the final tasks to them, so you don't have to do any of the work at all.

No one is talking about how much better virtual assistants are in 2026 thanks to AI. What a virtual assistant did in 2016 can now be done with an Hermes agent. But the new version of a VA is super powerful. Virtual assistants in 2026 are using AI, just like you are.
