They need to put some marketing behind the successes of AI and what it is accomplishing that touches the real lives of people. For instance, the Modena/Merck melanoma breakthrough could be shown how AI was used in that process. Protein folding accomplishment needs more positive press as well.

The cyber security issues of late sound so Mafia to me. It’s like a protection racket where AI says “I’m dangerous and the only way to stop me is to hire me to protect you. Nice little business you have here. It would be a shame if something happened to it.”

@elonmusk Why do we hear so little about ocean data centers? Wave action or wind for energy production and the naturally low temperatures of the ocean for cooling. Not in anyone’s backyard.

@rand_longevity We’re still in the early stages of this and we don’t know what we don’t know. We need to emphasize this as a area of study at a national level, with money and other resources to advance the science. There are many major related diseases we need to tackle.
