@codeHusky Additionally, how does following or being friends with someone that uses AI make the rest of a studio bad? A lot of developers unfortunately use AI, it seems like a difficult standard to hold people to, no?

@codeHusky Appreciate the clarification, I didn't know how you felt about these things now. In saying that, I haven't seen you make provide any evidence that isn't based on assumptions or stretching the narrative to suggest this could be bad for Modrinth?

@jamesacowling My 11 y/o self first used Dropbox and thought it was magic. Many years later, I use Convex and see the magic once again. Keep up the good work!

A fresh Brave install in 2026: sponsored ad wallpapers on new tab page by default (opt out). Brave VPN, News, Talk, Leo (AI), Rewards and other revenue-milking bloat is advertised/pinned by default. Analytics and "phoning home" by default. Google as default search engine in most regions by default. Sponsored search engines like Russian Yandex in CIS countries by default: github.com/brave/brave-co… Brave has an ad branch that handles advertising within the browser: brave.com/ads. Brave does on-device ad targeting based on cohorts and interests, just like what Chrome used to do and what Google was largely hated for (remember FLoC?). This applies to additional (opt-in) rewarded ads, shipped as part of Brave. Brave has injected referral IDs to crypto-related URLs entered into the omnibox in the past, intentionally, by design: x.com/CR1337/status/… github.com/brave/brave-br… reddit.com/r/privacytools… Brave also uses dark patterns to drive users away from turning off ads in their browser. For example, an article linked from the "opt out" button in the browser has a wall of text making excuses for ads before the actual steps needed to be taken to disable them: support.brave.app/hc/en-us/artic… kind of hypocritical for brave to judge firefox for lesser bullshit, don't you think?

I woke up, read this, realized I updated packages a few hours ago. Thankfully it was before the malicious versions were published. That was close😅

@Simon_Hypixel You and @slikey have specifically chosen the wording "shared source", which makes me think it will be more like source available than open source. Will you be accepting contributions? I've been working on some performance improvements I would love to contribute.

cannot believe this needs to be said in 2026 but your gender identity has absolutely nothing to do with your ability to play VIDEO GAMES, and anyone indicating a woman can't be the best at minecraft has worms in their brain

In the process of smashing out some last-minute tunes for @VectrixDevelops's team's entry into the @Hytale mod jam, I appear to have slipped back into my "generic battle music" phase by mistake. Whoops ⚔️ #gameaudio

@codeHusky @mushroomfromgd Are you just talking about how they do monetization on their store/in general, or what they display on the home screen?

I've had my orchestral stuff performed live quite a few times by this point, but for the first time ever, I FINALLY have some professionally-produced video evidence! A huge thank you to @SOUNZnz, RNZ Concert, and the @NZSO for making this happen <3 youtu.be/FJ9_xFAvQLc
