eCash Beta is just live, and here’s my thesis on this one: bitcoin froze L1 on purpose, so the only way to ship new functionality without touching the monetary base is a separate chain with Drivechains (BIP 300/301) → Succeed, BTC gets utility + extra miner fees but if fail, L1 is untouched. Alpha already showed demand: – 9.44 PH/s – 7 independent pools – AMM, explorer, splitter, fee tracker shipped by the community And the beta just sweetened the early bag: 1,000 pECX now burns for 20 ECX at mainnet (was 10). Still extra on top of the 1:1 snapshot, every BTC holder gets ECX 1:1 on Oct 31 if they hold keys. I think it’s the first live test of an idea CT has argued about for a decade. If you hold BTC on an exchange, you don’t control the split. Self-custody before Oct 31 or you leave that option to someone else. Can take a look here 👇🏻
