@miketief54 @aleabitoreddit You're looking at average inflation, and current one at that. Just look at how much has costs of food and rent/real estate (that have biggest impact on standard of living for approx 98% of people) increased in Europe and world since 2022 and you'll get clearer picture.

@ZeeContrarian1 Most of them certainly have portfolio managers. But it's also very reasonable to assume that every now and then they give a little wink wink to their managers as to which companies might get lucrative deals in near future.

This is fucking crazy. People haven't yet understood how big the AI revolution is! It could accelerate progress by 100× to 1000× in many areas we haven't even imagined yet. Now, OpenAI has confirmed to The New York Times that it has made “substantial progress” on another Millennium Prize Problem since its Navier–Stokes work, and says it is preparing to share the results. 👀 And this is just a beginning. AI will definitely help us solve cancer, aging, energy scarcity, dark matter, antimatter, physics mysteries, all the remaining Millennium Prize Problems, and lot more as well. we are taking off...

OpenAI confirmed to the New York Times that they have made "substantial progress" on another Millennium Prize problem in the last five days, and are preparing to announce. The rumors for the last 48 hours have been OpenAI solved the Hodge Conjecture, and that Anthropic has solved the Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer Conjecture. Since Navier-Stokes rumors abound, so I was reluctant to post about either. However, OpenAI's statement to the NYT now gives the Hodge rumors some very serious support. In general people have not updated yet that the new unnamed OpenAI model, the one that finished training about two weeks ago, which I believe will be named Aeon, is massively better at math than Astra, which two weeks ago was the best in the world. Aeon solved Navier-Stokes in 88 hours, start to finish. Follow the trend line. That means everything is on the table. Literally everything. And this does not end with math. Please update. We are taking off.

We’re sharing a solution to the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize Problem, one of the deepest problems at the frontier of mathematics. The proof was produced by a group of agents, using an OpenAI next-generation model significantly more capable than GPT-6 Astra. The problem concerns whether the description of smooth three-dimensional fluid motion modeled by the Navier-Stokes equations can break down. It has remained unresolved for roughly 90 years.
