Before they separate, Albertans should really take a good hard look at the US deal they forced on Venezuela. A separate Alberta would be Venezuela North to the USA, there to be raped and pillaged for resources “at cost”.

Wild that the day before the #yyc show, the @peaches concert is being moved to the inaccessible Commonwealth. Moreso with Wheelchair Sports Camp opening for them. I know folks in the disability community scrambling tonight to sell tickets so they don’t lose money on them.

@Jeff82455787976 @RepHuizenga I didn’t realize we could complain about the US fire smoke. My job has been shut down twice this year due to poor air quality from US fires. I’d like to be compensated by the US government.

@FionaMattatall I’ve been waiting a long time for a neck MRI. Fell and hurt my neck. My arms have been numb and it hurts to swallow since. 24 months by the time I get to it in December. They keep telling me my care is improved with this. 🐂 💩

As someone who had a long, complicated surgery that absolutely changed my life (and saved a kidney beyond all the other organs and helping my spinal trunk), this seriously concerns me for others needing the same. Would this also affect open heart surgery, organ transplants?

So… my bird, named Captain was in a @iamjohnoliver Oliver story about birds masterbating. Same bird did this in front of a guest while making eye contact with her. And finished by saying “I love you Captain.” I’m still ashamed of him doing this. Regardless of what John says.

@Landonforward14 @varmitage27 @sarahelder It’s not twisting your words. It’s exactly what you’re saying. You think you’re being fiscally responsible but it’s the opposite. It’s the province pushing costs on municipalities. If you can’t see that you shouldn’t be a council member.

@Landonforward14 This is not the take you think it is. The changes will cause people to fall through the cracks. When they do, they land in the city in the most in expensive way possible. City social service, emergency services, shelters, etc. Failure to address the root cause will cost you.

@cassko @agirlopinions @daleethompson Giving someone the option of no real care or MAID is coercion. We were already more likely to be denied a vent during COVID. It’s not good when someone else either decides you don’t deserve decent QoL, or that you just could never have a decent QoL because of disability.

@daleethompson Except it’s not "voluntary or dignified" when instead of being offered the supports and treatments people need instead doctors and nurses are suggesting to patients that MAID is either their best or only option—this is called coercion through denial of adequate care.
