@VictoriaKFrost The trees being further out is a bit more of a technical change- before there was never really a good way to display the sun/moon, and rarely in the screens would you see them (outside of the skybox looking weird), but with the swamp pushed back I can show it in the reflection~
@VictoriaKFrost It pulses still, but it's less of a photosensitivity issue- it's not super apparent in the video, but before the flash had to be toned down quite a bit. It's still similar, but not quite as intense. The text is a result of not having my normal sprite-font due to loc needs SADLY

Streaming "solved" piracy because you had everything you wanted in one place, and since you paid you didn't have ads. Streaming brought piracy back because you have to have 6 services to have a couple of things you want to watch and they force you into ads even if you pay.
Disney+'s new Terms of Use reserves the right to show ads before and after movies and series across all subscription plans.
@nappa0582 The whole point is it was an alternative to cable, which was annoying because you had to pay for insane packages. The perk was because you were streaming, you didn't end up with ads. When corpos realized they can rake in even more money, they rolled in ads and made new tiers.

@Emma_Bytes That's untrue, especially since they started rolling out ads and included an ad free tier after that lol As someone who was an adult when streaming started taking off, I definitely paid to both avoid ads and have all of my content in one place.
For me the death knell of all streaming services is having you pay a premium just so they can still throw ads on it. It isn't cable, they shouldn't be treating it like cable.

@Lockie_Glizzy Paid promo is a normal thing. The problem is that Clemmy is predatory. He's constantly being disingenuous and provides little to no actual value to anyone. Souring point is when he has vagueposts baiting people to shit on indie developers. Indie community has no place for him.
@umbreon3000 Sometimes you can find cool stuff, and sometimes it's altruistic, but most times the accounts that actually benefit from it aren't the devs, it's the person posting those reply farms. There will always be some good that comes from it, but most of that goes to the poster haha
Any time a large account tries to drive impressions with "Post your indie game here!" is doing themselves a favor, not you. If they have top 10 lists but charge to be on it, especially avoid- they're being disingenuous and it becomes "who pays me the most". Get these types out.
