This is not good, football folks. Those “Guardian Caps”? …. Not as safe as claimed. Chris Nowinski is a well-versed expert on CTE issues. … @CIFState @CIFSS @CifCentral @CIFLACS @CIFNCS @cifsds @cifccs @CIFSFAthletics @cifsjs @latsondheimer @CalHiSports @SacBee_JoeD @SteveFryer

Do Guardian Caps actually prevent concussions? @ChrisNowinski1 tells @PabloTorre why the story "appears to be a bit of a scam": "[The NFL's] own published study showed it wasn't true." "They love that the public sees the Guardian Caps because it's basically virtue-signaling."

Very good points, Adam. Definitely a cool feeling when the frontrunner leads the parade to the finish! Course markings can certainly be improved at so many courses. 🙏🏼

Against popular XC opinion: A well marked course does not need a lead bike or gator! It siphons away a little of the special feeling of leading/winning a race!

@SGVNSports Am confident the computer will place them properly; just hoping they are able to avoid injuries, etc. that can put a wrinkle on things. The algorithm is excellent; same one as calpreps and I followed their success rate closely for about 3-4 years before CIF started using it.

@SGVNSports Whatever division they land in (as it will be D4 or lower), they will have a strong chance because the computer will group them will similarly rated teams.
