this story, like those to come in “The Issue,” helps you to recognize those truths, too... With these stories, I hope that we can begin to shrink the gap between any marginalized group’s experiences of oppression and the rest of our society’s understanding of that oppression.”

Here at The Issue, we’re all about being active bystanders, rather than passive. We hope you will spend some time today considering how you can get involved and break the barriers to intervention.
