More like street cats you feed and pet with love but they don't live inside your house all the time. Same for dogs. So cats in general ate pure and can be kept close. @known_strangerz @Alhazanism @DanBurmawy Islam doesn't actually promote keeping any animal as pet. Keeping a pet means keeping an animal dependent on you, which is not the case. But keeping an animal for any specific logical need is allowed (in which case it isn't considered a pet, but a help).
