The Pope says it's "false compassion" to assist someone in pain near the end of their life to make there own decision regarding when they will die. This makes me shake my head in disbelief.
The Pope in Rome can say whatever but here in sovereign Canada our House of Commons voted 186 to 137 and in our Senate 44 to 28 that when someone is suffering from incurable illness and whose natural death is reasonably foreseeable they can have medical assistance in dying.
