My first hackathon. Tied for 1st place! This weekend I competed at the Antler x Zapdos Labs American Industrial Revolution Hackathon here in Austin... my first hackathon ever. I built and deployed Factory Guardian, an autonomous AI safety agent that watches factory camera feeds, reasons about OSHA compliance, and alerts the team in real time. About 9 hours of build time, starting at 11:30pm after the kids went to bed. The demo froze on stage in front of the judges. Won anyway. Huge thanks to @ Zapdos Labs and @ Antler for hosting, @ Ganesh Ramalingam judging... and to the builders in this photo who made it a real competition. Austin's AI scene is something special right now. Not my last one.

My AI Short Film Was Officially Selected for a Film Festival - I directed a short film with no camera, no crew, and no studio. Every frame was generated with AI tools like Kling AI, Google Veo 3, Midjourney, and ElevenLabs. Total production cost was under $1,000. The hardest part was the edit. I did it in iMovie. It just got officially selected for the 2026 Red Dirt Film Festival in Oklahoma, screening April 18. Twelve months ago, you could not keep a character's face consistent across two shots. A traditionally produced short costs $5,000 to $30,000.
