@steveschoger @tailwindcss Love your tailwindcolor.com palette but have noticed that it's a little out of date, specifically for sky blue. Any plans to update?

Happy 17th. No card and no surprise long time users are no longer valued.

My Twitter account can drive now. I’ve been on Twitter for 16 years! #MyTwitterAnniversary PS: @twitter usually you remember my Twitterversary and make a card, but you didn’t today so I had to make my own weird 16th card. Were you intentionally trying to “Sixteen Candles” me?

I’m over on BlueSky as @shellen.com which is weird or cool or confusing but either way… that’s me.

Thank you to @pierce for taking the time to ask what we really miss about Google Reader. I enjoyed helping dream it up and happy to hear that people *still* remember it fondly. theverge.com/23778253/googl…

Google Reader was made by lots of really smart & talented people so @mihai did his best to include all of them here: blog.persistent.info/2013/03/the-pe…

The Verge has a great article about Google Reader (on the 10th anniversary of it being shut down): theverge.com/23778253/googl… And if you’re feeling nostalgic, readerisdead.com/reader/view/ is a snapshot from just before it went dark.

Every 18 months practitioners in your field have to tear itself apart online with a stupid purity test about who is allowed to lead. I’m sorry. I don’t make the rules. If I did I would replace it with a rule that says “Don’t make a rule. It depends on the person and situation”.

@hotdogsladies We do need some sort of public certification for this privilege. “No, it’s not weird look at my driver’s license. I’m a C-class certified baby holder. And a donor.”

@gavinpurcell Years ago I was a youth minister in college, it pains me that there wasn’t something harmless to send my kids to when they were in high school. It was either religious or “you’re on your own”. Communities form around hobbies and sports but it’s not quite the same.

@gavinpurcell I’ve been thing about this for 20 years. It feels needed. Some shared purpose for good would be nice too. I think church people believe unchurched folks don’t like church and it’s mostly all the other things. Humans crave connection. Why not have a place to connect?
