@agrobaz @Imtrade Thanks Baz, agreed, but the use pattern here trialled was to reflect a DIM use in a legume crop or pasture of some kind. Hence IMO: 1) the risk of DIM resistance in legumes is > than in fallows. 2) a greater weed kill rate generally does not ‘accelerate resistance’.

Single glufosinate knock (left - 4 WAT) - vs - Double glufosinate knock (right - 2 WAT). On the left some plants of ryegrass and volunteer wheat have made a come back and large radish didn’t get killed and it’s still hanging around.

@alecjohn17 Full knock-down rates on large ryegrass. Little demo to possibly find a sweet spot for AMS (to me it’s >1%), have a look a tank mix with low Paraquat vs a Gr. 14 spike. It won’t break any new ground but confirm what we sort of know.

The tank mix of propyzamide (Edge Unify @840g/ha) with clethodim + factor - applied about 8 weeks ago - has led to a 95% reduction in tiller production of DIM resistant ryegrass. Check photos comparing resistant ARG surviving clethodim + factor -vs- clethodim + factor + Edge

Very impressed with capeweed control from Broadstrike and 2,4-DB (90%). 6WAT. Gnowangerup area. Here photos of Untreated, Broadstrike 25g solo and then Broadstrike 25g + 2,4-DB 3L. In pots did cause large suppression of clovers so it comes to a cost - unfortunately.

@jdwb84v8 Retrospectively I agree that 3L tank mixed with Broadstrike was probably too much….But at least it did work well on capeweed. Now I need to fine tune in pots to find a possible sweet spot for clover safety

@gsandral I think also low temps reduce its selectivity? I need to do a bit of work to work this one out. But it may well be the interaction Broadstrike & 2,4-DB as it was much better than many other Broadstrike-based tank mixes….
