What are your current thoughts when it comes to your programming education right now? I'm not talking about leveraging AI effectively. I mean bread and butter programming concepts. Do you care at all at this point?
@jessethanley @cursor_ai I've been saying that X is going to win for months. It's the classic innovator's dilemma with strong parallels to what happened with insulin. Eventually all models will be good enough and the companies focused entirely on quality will lose to those that focused on speed / cost.

By 2015 the industry was already full of sys admins/devs doing it because it paid well instead of being driven by passion. A lot of "senior" devs are hacks with minimal debugging skills who keep adding code until it works rather than trying to understand why it doesn't.
@johnstilton16 @__vandos__ products of 2015 were largely build by senior programmers in the 2010s who joined the industry in the early 2000s and spent the 90s as teens honing their craft while everyone was telling them they won't amount to anything. Of cause they made fantastic things, no one was writing
