On paper tag2 solo is the one but community decided we have to play tag mode because thats whats written on the box. T5DR is the perfect retirement tekken so thats what im cooking.
At some point i might gonna add ranked to Tekken 5 DR rollback so you can put all those modern T8 GoDs back where they belong: green rank hell. I got the ingame rank/stats structure figured out so i can drive it, have a nice day

Decomp project (3sx) will be better than any 3s official release if they ever release another one. Sadly 3s dads cant see it. They gonna shit on the guy making it(for free) until its done. There is no way capcom gonna put this much effort into something with so small roi
Bruh, how is there still not an official release of 3rd Strike that's arcade perfect/near arcade perfect. Fightcade, I get you. But a real, supported game from the creators. 30th Anniversary IS NOT IT. Emulation comes with issues. I just want a focused place for everyone to play
@aplsedwashere Its not made out of exact same plywood from exact same forest as japanese cab, therefore - its not the same game.
Recomp using brand new tooling wont be any better than Duckstation with decade of optimizations. However, within our team we have two guys working on proper Tekken 3 decomp with deep understanding of the game code/gfx, not some AI vommit and machine code. This decomp will lead to proper Tekken 3 port, with netplay built in inside game menu, ranked queue, 6-8 player lobbies etc. At that point integrating it with Arkadyzja will be redundant. Once everything will be ready - im gonna take the wheel and do my part - netplay/ranked/server side.
@rencoding speaking of do you have an opinion on if the recent Tekken 3 recomp could be included in Arkadyzja some day?

The only person who can truly answer which tekken is the best one is @RyanJosephHart who played them all, at the time when they were relevant and at competitive level. For me, as a whole package, nothing came close to Tekken 3 but you had to be there in 1998 as PS1 owner to know why, the hype was unreal.

If you're a Tekken 3, Tag 1, DR, or Tekken 6 fan playing on console instead of PC, I've got nothing but bad news for you. Truly devastating.
EU is many things (soul calibur/tekken/sf...) but its definitely not marvel. Historically ive seen more melty blood matches than marvel in my country lol
Once you know the exploits, AI in T5DR is easy. Jab(1) on block into buffered jetupper is guaranteed even on ultra hard. Works from t5.0 up to tekken7. Try it.
@PumbaTK you can play tekken 5 dr ghost mode on ultra hard to prepare yourself for the rollback release.
@death6001 I played vf2 alot because it came for pc and saturn. 3tb was too ahead to fit any console hardware and by the time it came out for dc it felt dated comparing to sc1 and doa2. Thats why it has big following only in japan where they could play in arcades earlier.
it takes multiple months (6+) to untekken yourself, but i highly recommend it, world is amazing out there. It may sound insane from dude workin on T5DR and T6 rollback but if im going back to actually playing a fighting game, its VF or one of timeless 2d classics, probably MOTW.

@WintreeFubuki Not every design will be a 10/10. Same is true for tekken. Hwoarang is better than Sarah but Akira is way better than Leo... Also youre comparing 10 vs 50 characters so tk has bigger chance to fit
After whole day of work i cant stand all those colorful explosions and dynamic camera transitions of tekken 8. I guess its cool if youre 5 years old. VF tho, is sharp, clean and nice to look at.

I don't plan to build matchmaking, rank system or other stuff. Grab a friend go to discord, play a FT1000, talk about life, tell him how free he is, etc.. Play the games you like, that's the fgc
