Mods are absolutely insane. You can now customize Claude to work and look the way you want by just prompting it.
Each person works differently, so there's no reason why everyone should have an identical Claude experience. Make Claude your own, and share mods as plugins so others can try your mods too.
You can now mod Claude Code:
- Change how it behaves
- Customize the UI
- Swap in your own features
Write one with a few lines of TypeScript, or have Claude build it for you. Mods ship inside plugins, so you install them with /plugin in the CLI or desktop app.
A few examples:
this has become one of my most used prompts recently:

Does a CEO need to understand his employees’ code?
Vibecoding is 2025.
Evolutionary coding is 2026.
Let the code’s DNA evolve to find solutions that satisfy environmental pressure (tests).
Genomes are an absolute mess but they work.
JUST IN: Anthropic co-founder Daniela Amodei & her husband reportedly used a “personal advisory council” of stuffed animals with distinct personalities to work through workplace conflicts.
@valigo Yeah and as a native English speaker I’m telling you wtf does this have to do with third world countries? Just because of some replies you made a whole post about Third world vs First World?
When the author is an American wtf are you bringing that into the convo?
This must go hard if you are lobotomized and a white supremacist like @rfleury and his friend @valigo
The guy who copied Ryan lives in the US.
They both somehow made this into a first world / third world thing
People from third world countries in replies not understanding the concept of high trust society and goodwill. You can instantly see through it if you're from one.
Also, not getting the difference between building on top of others' labor and slopforking for smug points.

on ai psychosis:
as i watch engineers fall deeper into the belief that an amalgamation of mathematical probabilities somehow understands their codebase better than they do, i find myself thinking back to a time when software wasn’t built for hypergrowth, but simply to do x without inventing y.
ai seems almost fundamentally opposed to this philosophy. ask it to do x and it will eagerly invent y and z before it has even tried to understand x.
the danger isn’t that ai writes bad code- it’s that it makes writing unnecessary code 100% free
and the human condition is such that some of us will always prefer the fast, steep gains of ai, even when it does a bajillion unrelated things to accomplish something that could have been done without changing anything else.
so, somewhat paradoxically, the quality of software may keep declining for as long as ai keeps getting better. the cheaper complexity becomes to create, the less incentive there is to understand or avoid it.

I literally can't think of a better risk/reward bet right now than building a ChatGPT plugin and getting in front of their 1.2 billion weekly users.
As of yesterday, ChatGPT recommends plugins in the middle of conversations. Millions of questions get asked every day with no plugin to recommend. Each one is an empty slot.
Facebook apps in 2007. iPhone apps in 2008. TikTok in 2019. Every big platform has a few months where distribution is free, and most people miss it.
I saw this firsthand when I lived in SF building venture backed companies. They are sacred times!
If I were starting this week:
1. Find a tool or workflow people already Google for or do by hand every week (PDF to Excel, invoice generator, weekly client reports)
2. Build it as a ChatGPT plugin
3. Write the description using the exact phrases people type into ChatGPT
4. Ship 5 of them and see which ones get picked up
5. Double down on the one with the most traction
In 12 months these slots will be crowded but right now they're pretty empty.
Most people will realize ChatGPT plugins were the biggest free distribution channel of 2026 sometime in 2027.
I built Apple Reminders…inside ChatGPT.
This is real, and it's a native ChatGPT Extension you can try right now. Free and open source.
Version 2.0 of my Reminders CLI, RemCTL, is out now with complete support for MCP and the brand new @OpenAIDevs MCP Extensions.
With RemCTL
super excited to announce plugin extensions today 🎉
you can now use the exact same platform we use to build ChatGPT features like meetings, health, finance, and many others 🤯
all based on the same MCP & MCP Apps you’re already used to: github.com/openai/mcp-ext…
