Setup is simple: add the plugin to your bundler config and call connectDevtools() in your entrypoint. That's it! For the UI, you just need to install the Redux DevTools extension from your browser's extensions store.
So, I'm back from vacation and ready to introduce a new package: nanostores-devtools. You can inspect your nanostores state more easily with it, with no setup required per store! Yes, but won't it be reset at this step: "If they match → clear the override and follow the system"? I mean, let's check it in a real situation: - It's noon, and the user has the light theme enabled on their computer - They open the website and want to always use it in dark mode, so they use a switch. It changes the theme and stores the selected value - In the evening, their OS automatically switches to the dark theme - The user opens the website again, and it checks the current theme against the stored one. They match, so the stored value is cleared from storage. Nothing points to the dark theme anymore. - The next day, the user opens the website again, and it opens in light mode because their OS theme is light again at that moment. However, their initial intent was to always use the website in dark mode
@ardovalexey Hm, am I wrong, or this schema won't work if the user wants to always use either the light or dark website theme, but also has an automatic switch between light and dark themes during the day?
Have they heard anything about refresh tokens? Why do I need to care about it?

@FabianHiller Sounds neat! Have you thought about bringing the encoding/decoding functionality to the Standard schema as well? It would be awesome to have it standardized in some way
One more reason why you should consider Valibot: it’s not only about bundle size, which is mostly negligible on the server side, but also about memory usage!
All this Valibot vs Zod talk got me to explore how much memory Zod was taking up on some of our workers Turns out, a lot 😬 Even *without* migrating off, just a few tweaks led to huge memory savings

shut_up_and_take_my_money.jpg Proper heading levels are such a pain in the ass when you work with content coming from a CMS. headingoffset and :heading() could solve so many problems. We really needed them 10 years ago! Unfortunately, this looks like a Firefox-only initiative, and there doesn’t seem to be much interest from other browsers...
Ever struggled to get heading tags right in includes/components? headingoffset could be the answer…
