@ThabitiAnyabwil Seminary prepared me to read and write well, both in original languages and modern day academia. Seminary prepared me poorly to care for or even _about_ people well. The emphasis was primarily about correct theology over loving people well.

@MattMBarrett His autobiography A Change of Heart is excellent and gives a remarkable background to his thoughts here. Worth a read if you haven’t.

@MattMBarrett I felt this 100% in my own recently obtained seminary education. Oden has been a balm for my unsettled heart and mind.

Spoon is a band that has stayed consistent in their style while never becoming cliche through repetition. New album is no exception: open.spotify.com/album/1szMY4Qq…

@tyvdh Sounds very surveillance state-y. Put all your application activity on a public register… Sounds a lot like what ad companies (Google, FB, etc.) already do internally with all your internet activity.

@tyvdh I mean, credit reports are a form of this idea already, yeah? People loan you money based on how you’ve acted in the past.

@tyvdh I guess my question is how do you gauge what is “edgy” and how do you prevent that from becoming diluted by farm accounts? Like if the history of “edgy-ness” gets diluted by nonsense innocuous activity?
