@belinduhpyne I guess the three surgeons who operated on my bladder, bowel and uterus all made up that I had stage 4 endometriosis and adenomyosis 🙄 He can watch the video I have of my insides from surgery if he wants proof that it exists!

Five years ago, I set up the Newson Health Wellbeing and Menopause Centre to give more women the opportunity to receive unbiased, evidence-based advice and treatment for their perimenopause and menopause, and also their future health. Quickly, it became clear that there were so many women who needed help, and not all of them would want, or be able to, come for an appointment in the clinic. I knew if we were to help the masses, we needed to give women access to more information, improve medical research into the perimenopause and menopause, and also support GPs working across the NHS with better menopause training. So, then we launched Newson Health Research and Education, Newson Health Menopause Society and the free @balanceMeno app too. There’s still a long way to go, but looking at some of these numbers makes me incredibly proud ❤️

When people say menopause is just a natural part of being a woman and that we just need to “get on with it”, I have a problem with that because why should women suffer with any symptoms when there are evidence-based treatments available that not only relieve these symptoms but also improve future health?
