The Senate took an important step over the weekend for the innovation ecosystem! It passed a CR that reflects what NVCA called for in our recent letter: delaying OMB from moving forward with its proposal to overhaul the rules governing federal grants and financial assistance. NVCA opposes the proposed rule because it would disrupt the longstanding framework that powers American innovation by supporting entrepreneurs, startups, investors, universities, and research institutions working in partnership with the federal government to drive American innovation. We appreciate the Senate's leadership in advancing this important provision and ask that the House do the same.

This is why we continue to advocate for the DEAL Act, part of the House-passed INVEST Act.
