@adamlongoTV @7NewsDC Don't get me wrong, I'm mad she missed the vote! It was an important one, even if it didn't have the binding effect of law.

@adamlongoTV @7NewsDC That's not to say that Trump wouldn't have told him to go vote anyways. But he wasn't constitutionally required to do so and the motion would have failed if he didn't.

@adamlongoTV @7NewsDC The VP's power to break a tie is a power and not a duty. If he refused to vote, the motion would have failed. It would have been 50-50 which is not a majority.

@peterschweizer The American Revolution rested on natural rights, that exist by virtue of being human, discoverable through reason, prior to any government. Not privileges granted by a king, and not a reward doled out by religious authority. Jefferson's "unalienable rights" come from Locke.

@SenTomCotton Seems like it's your job to protect them, perhaps by voting against funding for this illegal war or by impeaching the guy who started it.

@ASFleischman I will say, though, that if you turn Payne into a cop, there is *no way* the State would argue that Herring was "unarmed" (he was driving a car), "non-aggressive" (he was not complying with orders), or that he was "not an imminent threat" (again, driving a car and not complying).

@ASFleischman Yeah I read both briefs and I found the AG/DA's statement of facts to be more persuasive. The multiple eye witness accounts are pretty rough for your client. That said I didn't read the transcripts in the record and it does sound like her trial atty fucked up.

@shashj Doesn't seem complicated -- Trump is trying to shift the blame to the Europeans and also use this as an opportunity to further erode NATO

@BrettKollmann You say all three receivers like it's all of their faults but no -- it was one guy's fault, we just don't know which one

@jasonscheer The boy's life changed actually. After the woman drama, he went home with a signed bat from Bader. Shameful act from the woman though.

@KDbyProxy @JuddLegum @elonmusk Ok we're on the same page, I was just reading between the lines where it says that acceptance excludes one from in-person work requirements and I wasn't sure if that meant *all* work. Fwiw I could see them describe it as "severance" but then in the fine print, it wouldn't be.

@KDbyProxy @JuddLegum @elonmusk Per your earlier point, if they are WFH then is it really a separation incentive payment? Because the payments would just be for the WFH.
