so got released around 6. when the lawyer came, they told him that there are no “detainees” when there were 6-7 of us inside. he asked the cop if we are detained, cop refused to admit that we were detained but just temporarily being served as guests for precautionary measures. at least, give them some nice excuses and scripts. the lawyer said if they’re not detained then they can just leave right? since that’s what the law says. to which the cop said, “chai mangwa du aapke liye?”

from a friend’s story. this is so incredibly vile.

When will the time come for cockroaches and the rest of India to join Sahil Wakode's parents? When will liberals be footsoldiers in fight against discrimination, for a change? Will our kids not be killed in an India with free election?

I’ve always resisted the inner urge to start a Dhruv Rathee style YouTube channel. It was too demanding. Well, I just might do it now. By arresting Dhruv, PM Modi hasn't silenced dissent, he has unlocked a floodgate of anti-BJP content he will never be able to shut down.

Meghnad being followed by shady elements around Delhi. There are telegram groups where pictures of people participating in the protest are allegedly being circulated. Inpar UAPA nahi lagega? Inko andar nahi karoge?

Delhi had 221 companies of CAPF. Apart from 20K Delhi Police. Complete clampdown. And yet (miraculously) perpetrators with metal knuckles not only entered but violently attacked women & tore their clothes.

I am Seeing first time in my life, when goons are openly saying that they will beat the protesters along with police personnel. Is this police duty? Is it law and order? I can’t believe it.

Update- DCP Garg from West Zone is entitled and how. He arrogantly refused to allow me to meet @TusharG and threatened us, when confronted and when shown the law. We merely invoked the provisions of the law. I finally met Tusharji and got his signature on the Vakalatnama for further legal recourse. This is illegal. No notice has been served. #UndeclaredEmergency #Fail

RSS के गुंडे कर रहे प्रदर्शनकारियों के साथ मारपीट पत्रकारों के साथ भी की हाथापाई, दिल्ली पुलिस बनी रही मूकदर्शक

Listen up Modi Shah - if you are stopping us from coming in, you too can’t get out. A warning for those in uniform- stop following unconstitutional orders.

Hunt him down. Identify him. Make him answer for every blow he inflicted on that girl. My blood is boiling !

Legal Fraternity should stop representing #DelhiPolice in Courts till a thorough investigation and property apology is not in place, against illegal detention and harassment of lawyers, especially from their chambers. Anything lesser will mean compromising safety of advocates.

This young SC lawyer Fidal Tom who appeared with Kapil Sibal in SC on Friday on the shutdown of Delhi, was detained by Delhi Police today & badly beaten up by a policeman in civil clothes in the Sanjay colony police chowki under the Maidangiri PS. This was witnessed by my colleague herself & other detained protesters

The RSS has an opinion on everything: India’s economy, foreign policy, religion, social values, what constitutes science, and even how many children Indians should have. From promoting claims that cow urine can cure cancer to passing off mythology as scientific fact, there is apparently no subject beyond their expertise. But when it comes to farmers’ distress, students’ concerns, or allegations of vote chori, the lectures suddenly stop. Where is Mohan Bhagwat “ji” now? Why this deafening silence when the questions are about electoral integrity and accountability?

The day these fuckers lose control of the ED, CBI, and paramilitary forces. Their accounts holding ₹10,000 crore are frozen, and the media is freed. All the sub-human, low-testosterone boys you see cheering for their use of state power against individuals will bury their heads in the sand. They won’t have any political opinion. They will go back into their rat holes. A single FIR on them will make them wet their pants.

Being a private-sector employee in the tax-paying bracket is probably the most punished demographic in India 🥲 Pay direct tax when you earn, indirect tax when you spend, save for your own retirement, constantly upskill to survive AI-driven job disruption and then get taxed at every step, even on severance when you lose your job. Only air and water used to be free. Now the air is unbreathable for 9 months a year, and you need a water purifier to drink the water.
