Why would anyone want this? If you want gears, vehicle lurching around and noise booming out, then buy a petrol car.

Like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N,the electric Kia EV4 GT has a Virtual Gear Shift (VGS) system that approximates driving a manual car. There are six ‘gears’ operated via the paddles, and you can bounce it off the rev limiter. You can also adjust the volume of simulated engine sound.

Capex for green hydrogen is irrelevant, it's the operating costs which will be ridiculously expensive. Even if an electrolyser facility could be built for zero cost, it would still be a gigantic sinkhole where cash is poured in and disappears. No one will be building that. Best case taking electricity -> hydrogen -> electricity and you still throw away 2/3 of the energy. Use the hydrogen for combustion engines or for heating and you throw away even more. It's colossal waste and inefficiency at every step.

Advert lies alert - claims 'sat there for last 2 years'. Reality - last MOT expired 5 years ago. Before that, 12 failed MOTs 2007-2020 and the testing date has drifted by many months so MOT was either late due to repairs or more likely was just ignored. Each time it's had just about enough 'repair' to have it wobble back onto the road until the next fail.

Moulded plugs were introduced as it was vastly cheaper and faster for manufacturing. That became a necessary saving from 1994 when it was required that electrical appliances were sold with plugs fitted. Safety had nothing to do with it. Manufacturers would have continued to supply items with no plug if they had been allowed to.

No doubt that document also went on to mention 'scenes' and how you can open and close the curtains with it. It's all junk. It's either the cheapo end where it all relies on Amazon, Google or some other spyware box continuing to be supported - or the other end with custom proprietary closed systems which cost £20k for a basic affair and can only be installed or altered by those who have paid vast sums to become an approved provider of the overpriced crap.

Subsidy grift every time. BMW and the rest know exactly what they are doing - do just enough to qualify for the subsidies, grants and to convince the fools who throw money at such things. But make sure to not do enough to provide any meaningful or useful end product - because more money is needed for that. Repeat until the money runs out.

Building a load of pipes for hydrogen purposes is the easy and cheap part. Just like certain companies have made hydrogen engines, hydrogen boilers and the rest. Always with the easy things that have already been done decades ago. Now look at how and where hydrogen is produced and how much that costs.
