Can all the AI doomers chill for a minute. AI is not a threat to human existence. Until it is capable of handling the entire physical supply chain it depends on to exist, from rare earth mineral extraction to the building and maintenance of data centers (every chip, nut and bolt), comms networks and power plants - humans are required. We are going to see Person of Interest long before we see Terminator. This doomer nonsense is all just a distraction from the roll out of mass surveillance, IP theft and regulatory capture.. A somewhat dystopian outcome is vastly more likely than an apocalyptic one. Relax, enjoy the ride. I’m highly optimistic the next era of human civilization is going to be awesome. Just gotta keep our eyes on the prize and ignore the noise.

I don't understand the data center pushback. AI is the natural conclusion of the information age. It became inevitable the moment the first computer powered on. Computers were always going to lead to the internet. The internet was always going to lead to social media. Social media was always going to lead to AI. And AI was always going to lead to more data centers. You really have two options: 1. Embrace it. 2. Revert to a pre-information-age existence. Ask the Amish how to start. Everything else is choosing to lose a game you're choosing to play.
