@KevinRelms Your saying this like people don't know Sony has closed over 20+ studios, and cancelled like 18+ games. Some were either being fully developed or close to release lol.

Gamepass will be making $600 million Rev share from this month alone... My biggest issue I think with the gaming media is, instead of sharing how awesome a value prop gamepass is/could be... It's always a question & focus on: IS IT SUSTAINABLE?? And I'm just like: idk?? but it's fun & a great option for me 🤣 I play way more games thanks to Gamepass, I also BUY more games thanks to GP because of its discounts. I play games I wouldn't have otherwise touched if i didnt have the service - which is great for indie devs. Some really great value on gamepass comparatively to what's out there. That's all I need as a gamer personally. @XBOX @asha_shar

The Game Pass effect. Xbox users have been conditioned not to buy games. Hope this doesn't reflect poorly on The Coalition.

I hear you, and that's why I think it's nuanced. I get wanting games to sell well so we get more of them. But I feel like gamers and the media focus so much on sales and sustainability that the actual games take a backseat. It's always "Is Game Pass sustainable?" or "Was this game even worth it for Xbox?" instead of whether we're getting good games. Alot of gamepass/xbox conversations have been driven by not the quality but whether they deserve to exist in the first place lol. Look at Sony. How many remasters and remakes have we gotten while franchises like Resistance, inFAMOUS, SOCOM, and Jak and Daxter sit dormant? Ubisoft hasn't released a new Splinter Cell in over a decade. And that's my bigger point. Sequels aren't always decided by fan demand or even strong sales. They're often driven by executives looking at projections, risk, and profitability. a.k.a. what genre of game drives sales? We've seen successful games followed by layoffs and franchises disappear regardless of their popularity. So when I find a fun game that I personally vibe with, that's what matters most to me. I'm a consumer/gamer, not an investor. I care about the experience, not whether some executive thinks the numbers justify its existence.

@unicorntrainee @JamiesAct Only reason I somewhat care about sales is because of the industry itself, it's a nuanced take. But for the most part I'm a gamer first, gamer in me cares more about the games. I see too many people care about sales more than the quality of what they're receiving as a consumer.

@the_sgtbird Well that's on you bud lol but there's been a ton more games than just powerwash simulator on gamepass (reason why peeps say its the best deal in gaming)...It'd be a long list if I were to write the great titles on there.

@NicholasDClay Game industry is always laying off people even if they do well. Unfortunate part of the industry, Sony is no exception.

@JamiesAct I don't care about sales if the service itself is good. If you have netflix do you care how netflix is run? Or do you subscribe because it has good content and movies?

@DineroPrimero Myself and my friends do it all the time. I'll do it for certain games in case it ever leaves, and pretty much every game on gamepass offers a discount for the actual game if you did want to purchase it.

Xbox has built a brand new PC app which offers BIG performance improvement • New Xbox Cloud Gaming interface codenamed Bastion • Groundup rebuild of the underlying code • Aimed to bring the user experience closer to the Xbox Series X|S console • Potentially set to go live to Xbox Insiders before the end of the year • The navigation between game listings is also a lot more streamlined • No longer two separate pages for games, and both the store listing and game listing now share a single interface. • Two screen modes: Desktop mode and Full-screen mode • Custom launch parameters for each game • Improved background images via: Jez Corden windowscentral.com/gaming/xbox/ha… YT: youtube.com/watch?v=wAt45n…

Xbox securing streaming rights over GTA 6 is a very smart move. PC players will now have an avenue to play GTA 6 day 1 even if its via streaming...and that will be exclusively through Xbox.
