CAN SOMEONE ACTUALLY EXPLAIN HOW THIS IS LEGAL. A guy at work pays $210 a month for full coverage auto insurance. That's $2,520 every single year just to stay legal on the road. Last week, someone clipped his parked car in a lot and drove off. Total bumper damage: $1,200. He called his provider to file a claim. Their response: "Your comprehensive deductible is $1,000, and your monthly premium will likely go up if you report this." So he paid $1,000 out of pocket to fix damage he didn't cause, while paying $2,500 a year for "protection" he couldn't even use without getting penalized. You're literally paying a monthly fee for the right to cover your own repairs.
