one thing i wish more people learned early in their 20s learn to take absurd levels of accountability for your actions (even the unconscious ones, yess) this is not a career pep talk. this is not about getting a better job or becoming more “successful.” it will improve the experience of people who work with you, people who care about you, and people who have to deal with the consequences of your character and decisions. i know how important this is, and at the same time, how optional it is. because no, you don’t have to do this. you can ignore all of it and still live a completely normal life. you can keep blaming other people,timing, circumstances, your childhood, your coworkers, your friends, your manager, bad luck, or literally anyone except yourself. life will still move on. you will just might keep carrying the same problems into every new room.
