@kates_idposting @Oliver_Clingain Sorry, I'm about to ruin that for you.
A reminder:
Consumption ends when you do. Legacy is creation-planting trees you’ll never sit under, knowing others will. 🌱
working theory: the purpose of life is to die a surplus human. to have contributed more than you consumed. most believe the opposite. thinking it's all about buying more, eating more, watching more. but in reality, it's all about making more, creating more, building more.
Free Gemini Pro for students (I mainly use it for Notebook LM pro. I just dropped the MI driving handbook into it and had it make me a podcast study guide). This isn't an affiliate link- just something useful I'm passing on.
5/ College students get Gemini FREE Pro Plan for 1 year. Eligible students get more access to our 2.5 Pro model, unlimited image uploads & quizzes. Plus audio overviews, Deep Research & 2 TB storage. Terms apply. Sign up by Oct 6 here: goo.gle/freepro
Thought I’d skim the GPT-5 prompting guide. But between tools like reasoning_effort dialing and the Prompt Optimizer, it’s taught me more than I expected. (search depths!! cool) cookbook.openai.com/examples/gpt-5…
@StructuredSucc My neurodivergent spouse pushes through school with grit that impresses me daily. We use AI to ease masking, sensory stress, and exec function load. In the process, I absorb the material just as much as she does (kinda Feynman technique)
@DearS_o_n Hard truths are still truths. Better to see them clearly than pretend they’re not there. Reality doesn’t bend to feelings.
My first semester in recovery, my community college gave me free tuition, food, therapy, and a wellness office-then handed me a $1,000 camera for 5 months to learn photography. That trust changed everything. If you’re starting over, call yours. #communitycollege #recovery
@recovery_your “Pain is not a contest.” I’ve carried those words with me ever since I first heard them. Your hurt matters, without comparison, without minimizing, without shame.
@RhiaCrewe I LOVE THIS!!! Thanks! When you’ve been in the dark, you can’t help but want to light the way for others.
I honestly couldn’t have lived without NotebookLM this last semester. I dumped my syllabus, slides, and messy notes into one place, and it helped me turn chaos into clean study guides and podcasts to listen to on the bus on the way to class.
I threw away the education I was offered at an elite university when I was young. Now, decades later, Michigan Reconnect and the Community College system have given me a second chance & it’s _priceless_ SOO grateful for the finan aid staff at SC4 that spent the morning with me.
@SeekWiser_ You can’t rewrite your history, but you can edit your legacy. This is my rewrite.
@DrBobBeare That was informative... and interesting. I used go to Holotropic Breathwork sessions by one of Grof's students when I was in my early teens. Haven't even thought of it in years! Maybe something to look at now that I'm sober.
@schoolofLmagic This is what I needed to see this morning. Been exhausting myself for 2 days trying to put some light on something I found deep in mind & heart. I thought I could outrun it, but.... anyways, thank you 👁️
@orangebook 👍 (I've been seeing this alot in the AI age) You can read books, memorize blueprints, and debate house design theory for a decade. But until you pick up a hammer and build a house, you don’t know a damn thing about building houses.
@recovery_your I used to feel like chaos that broke everything I touched. Then the right people held space instead of running. Healing became mutual. We saved each other.
