That's a huge speedup for Bitcoin IBD.
I've finished mainnet AV Swift Sync IBD in 19:45 min, using 4.2Gbps, 32 Cores and ~5GB of RAM (the machine's got 60GB, but never used more than 5). This CPU was way overkill, 8 **good** cores would have done the trick just fine!

I traced the Bitcoin Core multiprocess binaries (bitcoin-node and bitcoin-wallet) and wrote 3 posts on how it works under the hood. viniciuscestari.dev/posts/inside-b… Turns out I wrote 3 posts to explain one line of C++, because of everything it hides.
I'm pursuing something similar. I'm trying to approach my writing and research with more care, or more love you could say. Especially as someone working full-time on open-source software, I feel that the desire to understand things deeply, from their roots, is slowly being eroded by how easy it has become to get things done with LLMs. There's enormous value in struggling with a problem, following the wrong path, going back, reading the source material and eventually building your own understanding. I'm afraid we're starting to lose some of that "eye of the tiger" when it comes to the pursuit of knowledge.
