@FTusa284 In the camp? It’s tragic. Aluminium cables apparently, whatever that is.

@Gd676 @SPTA_partizan Apart from winter when the untreated black ice will get you into a ditch, or a surprise head-on with a truck kills you, it is quite a fast alternative. But doesn’t go that far SE.

Delays caused by “ooh look Stonehenge” costs gazillions in time & effort for others who have to drive past it. Why not just plant a hedge?

@simon_puxley If they hadn’t dick danced around the nimby’s tunnel, the hedge would be 5 foot tall by now.

@SPTA_partizan The Packway or via Shrewton used to be Plan B, but nowadays due to car GPS, they get rammed too.

Towards the end, the Germans mostly didn’t report, just tutted. But if you tried washing a car in JHQ or Bielefeld on a Sunday where the only witnesses were Brits…

Tom, come to work with me. You’d be disappointed to see, despite being in uniform, I’d get properly rodded off trying to get into camp without ID. And if I wanted to take my car in without a pass, I’d have to park outside & join long queue of bored contractors waiting to get in.

Today we're publishing an investigation by @ShipleyWrites into the security of British military bases. 🔴 Staff skipping ID checks 🔴 Damage to perimeter fences going unrepaired for years 🔴 Hostile states contracting dirty work to organised crime networks of Islamists, Iranians

@ben__h @consumerofmonch Main Building fair enough, but you really want to go into some of the more feral infantry camps? It’s like Deliverance in there.

@uk_crafting They join the queue. It’s the Bde Comd spouse who uses the special lane.

@ChiocciMike Sadly not. Because, whenever the proletariat green army ever get a new bit of kit, the SF immediately bin it and move on. Skips at Hereford & Poole must have been full of AKU boots as soon as RLC, R SIGNALS & RMP started being issued them.

RAF Police with gucci weapons? Clear case of Snooki Strategy by SIG Sauer or Heckler & Koch etc 😆

It looks like RAF Police Close Protection Team has bought into Project HUNTER and got some KAC rifles for themselves. Possibly shorter KS-3 rather than KS-1 (L403 of Royal Marines and Rangers). Sights (AimPoint, I'm thinking...?) are also different; red dot and collapsible 3x

@TedSmith491348 Once the excitement is over, and peer existential war is back on tables, drones will just be another tool in the box. They are an evolution not the second coming of the Messiah.

@consumerofmonch Depends on site. Some boggo standard unit camps may be more lax, but going into those to commit skullduggery would be a very dumb idea if the inmates got hold of perpetrators.

@TheAngry53586 I am known to regularly lampoon the farce that is temu stickers on laminated card. The assertion was you just get waved in with no ID. Anyone that is anyone knows which camps are worth it. And those ones are not messing about.
