Column is adding USDC to its payments infrastructure. Fintechs banking with @column can now access stablecoin payments alongside cards, wires, ACH, Swift, and RTP through a single API. This is USDC becoming part of real financial infrastructure. column.com/stablecoins/
We solved the quiet problem in stables. The biggest issue with stables isn't the coin, chain, speed, or the provider. It's the reality that up to this point stables were not interoperable and liquid with the rails that 99.9% of people and businesses rely on. The industry has tried to hack it together by maintaining liquidity pools all over the place (defeating the point of stables) but then you were held hostage by the tradfi rails settling your liquidity pools! Because the best places to operate stables is the core that settles the rest of your transactions...the bank. I think this will probably be the most transformative update I've ever shipped.
