I keep seeing “AWS” on job specs. Not really expanding on what part of AWS and its packages or what part of cloud engineering. Any advice for someone who’s only ever done JavaScript? What should I be looking at to tick those boxes ? #Coding #aws #learningtocode

@MasterShifuu18 I’m a front end dev for a uk bank and I literally just do react in typescript. I do no styling of any kind. So I basically know minimal css.

I’ve been a front end developer for about 18 months. My job role is purely JavaScript. I do no styling and at this point I’ve forgotten css completely. Do you think it’s worth going back to basics and broadening my FE stack out? Or should I branch back into BE? #dev #CodeNewbies

So a year into my life in tech and out of the boot camp and I’ve been promoted which is fantastic news. It was worth every risk I took going to a boot camp!

I just realised something. It’s the 1 year anniversary of me getting off the helicopter for the last time and committing to the career change. No more offshore, now a code monkey. @northcoders #technology #CodeNewbie #SoftwareDeveloper #javascript

For the last few months I’ve been working as a front end dev using react / redux. However I want to start picking backend back up in my own time. Can anyone recommend a fun backend project to teach myself C# or Java? #programming #DEVCommunity #codingNewbie #100Devs #CSharp #java

@Katzen_CA Go for it. The worst that can happen is they say no or ignore you. The best that can happen is you get an interview / tech test experience and maybe even get a job. You have nothing to lose by firing out applications even though you’re not feeling 100%.

So I’m happy to announce I made a career move! I have move to a new position at Barclays Bank as a junior Java / react developer, hopefully this tech stack will be much nicer than a custom C language with no documentation and 50 years of legacy code 🥲#techtwitter #DEVCommunity

After 7 weeks of banging my head against the wall with a custom C language’s legacy code. It was so refreshing today to just make a naughts and crosses game in react today 😅 #CodeNewbie #techtwitter #javascript #100Devs

Day 9 #100DaysOfCode I’ve spent the day building my own string functions to replace the standard library. This is mostly to build confidence with C. Juggling C with learning my companies custom made framework is really kicking butt. #techtwitter #DEVCommunity #codeNewbie #code

Day 7 / 8 #100DaysOfCode I’ve spent the day getting used to the GDB whilst using C. Also getting used to writing small scripts to supplement my frameworks current work flow. #DEVCommunity #techtwitter #CodeNewbie #AcademicTwitter #100Devs #coding #Developers #SoftwareEngineer

Day 6 #100DaysOfCode Continued to learn about the automation process of a warehouse and my companies homemade C framework. Definitely need to work on my general skills in the language of C. I’m a fraction of my abilities in JS #techtwitter #Devcommunity #CodeNewbie #Developers

Day 4: #100DaysOfCode Today I continued with TDD using cmocka and building my own string functions instead of using the string library. I also started to learn about my companies automation process. Eeeeep. #techtwitter #CodeNewbie #DEVCommunity #DevOps #automation #coding

@aj__chan I’ve been hired by a automation company, they automate logistics companies :). It’s very different from my JS based bootcamp I completed before the new year 😅

Day 3 #100DaysOfCode Started to learn about arrays, strings and structs. C is very very different to JavaScript 😅 I also started to bring in some familiar TDD. Arrays in C are so much harder than JS 😅 #techtwitter #CodeNewbie #CodeNewbies #softwaredevelopment #javascript
