@k8roulette2 I set aside time once a week to contact 10 families. Students missing assignments and class or students i'm concerned about are first and then I always add a few "good" emails or calls for students who have showed initiative or improvement, or who are just plain awesome.

@teachergrind Once in a while I do this as well, it's usually something I can connect to my curriculum but fun like, find the symbiotic relationships in Finding Nemo. We all need a break sometimes!

@Anniemae2008 @FixingEducation At one interview I had, the entire committee was miserable. I told them that I didn't think the school was a good fit and left before the end of the interview. Love my school, my admins and my colleagues now, and I get paid very well. Be picky, it's worth it!

My heart goes out to Bruce Willis and his family, & also my gratitude for shining a much needed light on this disease. When people step forward it helps all of us. When people get a diagnosis it’s extremely difficult, but also for most a relief to get a diagnosis.

@kindergal @gay_lussac @ProfeDeAngelo As a teacher I agree 100%. Kids need down time. I teach high school and give very little homework and never on weekends. Exception is AP class. Can't get through that without homework and practice. My students ace assessments and still learn.
