@mitchellh I don't know if this will be supported with tmux native tabs, which I've never used in iTerm2. However, I do use tmux and I still use it in ghostty when I want to synchronize my input over multiple panes. Will this be implemented in the future?

@p8on_ @mitchellh Respectfully, I disagree. Open source doesn't mean anyone can add anything at anytime. Code still has ownership and, ideally, a vision/roadmap. Besides, every piece of code you add is a piece of code to maintain and the owner may not be okay with that trade off.

@hot_girl_spring It's because default argument are evaluated once at the time the function as a whole is evaluated and they're stored statically in memory. Default arguments aren't really meant to be mutable like you're trying to do here.

@ThePrimeagen Genuine question: has it ever been notably capable of doing it? I've only ever used for boring things I didn't feel like typing out by hand. I've always used it more like a "do it for me" assistant rather than "tell me how to do it".

@ThePrimeagen The concept of them really is simple. It takes literally 5 minutes to explain what a pointer is. Using them correctly and effectively is the hard part! The "how to walk a linked list" from Linus Torvalds is an example of what actually knowing how to use pointers is like.

@antirez Perhaps a better advice would be to avoid letting the APIs exposed by your dependencies to be present all over your codebase but rather expose your dependency to your code with the API you want to see and have control over, so that breaking changes have minimal impact. (2/2)
