Anthropic owns no compute, and no power infrastructure. They will end up competing with other businesses running open models to buy compute. Compute and power are the product. Anthropic doesn’t have any. Models and harnesses have been driven down to 0 cost.

I've been storing this one for quite a while! We now officially supply chemically pure grade methane in California with our partner @westairgases. One of my favorite ideas about the discovery of iron is: nomadic tribes happened to make a fire on a hillside that *happened* to have iron near the surface and also happened to have the right wind conditions to accidentally make a furnace. They likely wouldn’t have understood the specifics of what was happening, just that the area and conditions produced little pieces of iron.
