Honestly, I’m working 5x harder since coding agents actually became useful. Weren't these supposed to take software engineers out of the critical path? Now it just feels like every part of the stack needs to be rebuilt, and it has to happen now.
1993 was the year of the Linux desktop for me. 2026 was the year I finally invested heavily in macOS. Now the in crowd are doing the omarchy thing.
Of course, IMO if it's still defaulting to tiling in Hyprland, that's going to be a hard stop for a lot of people
I made the jump from Linux to macOS after over 30 years of Linux as my daily driver exactly because the AI tools were (and still are) shipping on macOS first. The Omarchy hype is tempting, and no doubt a lot of the rough edges that I had when I tried it are sanded off
The case for *total* Linux victory (desktop, mobile, server, iot, robots, embedded…): 1) Most agent-programmable People will want fully personalized computing experiences. macOS makes it hard to even ship a tiny app to your menubar. 2) Open source training data Blender beats

I used Arch for about a dozen years. It's my favorite distro after Gentoo (no joke). I tried Hyprland; no go because tiling WMs are not intuitive. I wonder if it still defaults as a tiling WM, or if that's one of the unapproachable things about this setup that the crew have addressed

Same 100% - avoiding ACP for agy until this is clearly settled. Google model access outside their harness is not worth the risk of Google account disruption, but I can't keep my work inside their UI either.

If I dictate into Wispr Flow and the software cleans up my dictation, removing the uhms and all the other magic that Wispr Flow does, and then hit "send", is that AI-authored prose that I am ethically somehow obligated to disclose? Take this to its obvious conclusion.

The moat is understanding the domain well enough to be able to put all of these things together to actually solve problems and create new things. That's a moat that everyone can build in their own space IMO

I do something like this with @1Password using op run - my .env files don't hold creds, just 1Password vault paths. My agents can't see any credentials.
cloudflare sandboxes handles credential injection in a beautiful way agent never sees the credentials but can make calls to a service securely so you cant get prompt injected to expose your keys genius ! @gabivlj @MikeNomitch_CF
