The "you can build anything yourself now" pitch is for maybe 1% of people who are forever tinkerers. I think the 99% wants fewer things to manage. Let's say they can describe what they need (they can't) and get it working on the first try (they won't). Someone still has to decide if it actually does the job. Then the business changes, someone new needs access, and things breaks at random times. Owning the thing is the bottleneck now! Plenty of people could build the thing and would still pay to stop babysitting it. If I were selling into that I would take the agent platform I already use and run it for them. Or maybe just open source it.

Honestly he's right. The debt does get paid off, just by whoever's holding the currency. In Argentina that was my family and we left in 1989.

Only read six books this year so far, so posting my reading list publicly as a forcing function / to humiliate myself to finish 2026 with at least ten 😭

One of my goals this year was to scroll less and read more books. It's been one of the best things I've ever done. The timeless wisdom and knowledge from reading books, particularly old books which have stood the stringent test of time, will compound and improve my life for

We won't get one collective Bitcoin moment again. We'll get a million micro-moments in isolated pockets that never connect. There is no single moment to be ready for. There are a lot of small ones, and you will miss most of them.

If I can predict your opinion on any random topic from your opinion on Bitcoin, I start wondering how many of your opinions got presented to you as a package that you accepted without thinking. Brainrot and groupthink is not exclusive to normies. Very relevant in Bitcoin.

@MattAhlborg Not a tool per se, but organizing a fairly large corpus of style references and transcripts of previous podcast appearances helps refine these things. I’ve built my own Grok Bot to handle customer support reqs on both text and calls(!) and it’s working well

Vibecoded my own version of Grok Bot that's connected to my Claude 20x sub. Each bot has its own CPU, I can work remotely from my iPhone, and I can add whatever feature I want and run it on any model I want. We live in exceptionally great times.

No, Bitcoin is not going to pump because of AI payments. And NO, it's not going to pump because websites require Bitcoin payments from AI agents. Sorry, but that's Bcash logic.

@stephenjhall @BTCPerception I've found the models get a lot less dumb once they have the actual context loaded in. Happy to show you!

@dansemperepico I built @BTCPerception with this approach which has worked so far. The more tedious/expensive/hard the data gets, the safer the moat IMO. But I feel like the definition of "hard to get" will no doubt change in the next few years if the data is purely online.
