@scottgh Not at this moment but it's very high on our to-do list. Everyone on the Balsa team would all love to have drag-and-drop reordering as well 🔜🌟
Introducing Tasks view!! ✏️ ✅ Click on “Tasks” and get a breakdown of all your project’s tasks at a glance—sort, filter, and get work done. Learn more: balsa.com/feat-tasks
@mike_or_machine It’s free to use up to 5 projects ✋🏼
Can your issue tracker do this? Balsa accelerates high performing teams by enabling PMs to write specs and track tasks all in a single doc the whole team can share. Experience the speed for yourself, try free today: balsa.com/feat-tasks
Add annotations directly on your designs, graphs, or screenshots without the ugly doodles 🖍️ balsa.com/feat-annotation
🚀 Introducing Balsa – the ultimate platform for organizing ideas, tracking projects, and enhancing collaboration! Taking inspiration from giants like Dropbox Paper and Notion, but with a twist specifically tailored for building software. 🛠️ @balsa
AI is changing everything. Are your tools keeping up? Balsa is a next generation project management tool designed for the AI era. Learn more:
@HappyGezim Let us know what you think and if you have any questions :-)
👉 For example, check out the Public Project project we are using to build this feature: app.balsa.com/project/Public…
Balsa projects can now be made public with a flip of a switch—share your projects with broader teams, cross-org partners, friends, and family members. 🌐
@DaleyIXD Figma is awesome! It’s also useful to have annotations in the doc next to all the to-dos and specs without switching context. e.g. this is how we use it for something we’re working on:
Can your PRD do this? Balsa now supports Image Annotations, letting you comment directly on specific locations in a mockup or screenshot. It's just one of many ways Balsa helps software teams write better docs and get more done. Learn more: balsa.com/feat-annotation
Balsa is a new document for software teams. It combines the best of docs, issue tracking, and status reporting into one fresh interface. Learn more:
@_0131310 Not right now unfortunately, but hopefully we'll be hiring again someday soon!
✅ Task bar
✅ We have been long obsessing over what’s the best way to give folks control over hiding and showing tasks. It has to be obvious but can’t clutter up the UI and also not TOO hidden. We think this direction has a lot of promise. We have more ideas for task bar so stay tuned.
Happy Friday!!! Here's a little about the top features we shipped in July 🚀 🪄 AI Editor You can now refine suggested sections by giving your AI assistant feedback on the generated content. Try “make it longer” or “write it as a haiku”
✅ We have been long obsessing over what’s the best way to give folks control over hiding and showing tasks. It has to be obvious but can’t clutter up the UI and also not TOO hidden. We think this direction has a lot of promise. We have more ideas for task bar so stay tuned.
Ah, great question – docs are private, but visible to your whole team. Private projects will only be visible to teammates you choose. Kinda like the difference between "Anyone at my company can view" and "Only specified people". We're separately working on allowing globally-public docs that you can share via link, and that will be available to all teams (free and paid).
Write your next PRD in Balsa, the only document built for making software. When your project docs are in Balsa, everything is in one place, and you get task tracking and status reporting automatically, all in one fresh interface. It's free to get started. Try today:
“Where is that design.... I think it’s in this task... wait, no.. that’s not it.. Did I delete it? Hold on 2 seconds. brb.” Great news! Our new link box finds and organizes all the links in your doc in one place. Search and more goodies coming soon. 🔗 📦
@thebrentd We totally agree! It's on our radar for the future. 📝
✍️ New Balsa + a new site! 🔥 Balsa is a tool for writing docs for making software—briefs, PRDs, design docs, and tech specs. 📣⬆️ Have a look and vote for us on Product Hunt: producthunt.com/posts/balsa-2
