This is a grim chart for Europe, and as a $NBIS investor I don’t think “sovereign AI” is a sufficient answer to it. Europe wants more control over AI. But it also needs businesses building products people actually pay for. A weak local customer base makes it harder to turn European GPU capacity into a profitable business. The further Europe falls behind, the stronger the political argument for building infrastructure, so one to watch. Stripe’s data is grouped by company HQ, so this doesn’t mean Europeans aren’t spending on AI. It does show how little of the payment volume is going to EU-based AI businesses.
Am I reading this right? If $NBIS was a country it would be #4 - and above Malaysia, Australia, Japan, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, France, South Korea, Indonesia, Ireland, Netherlands, and Brazil. WILD.

The interesting part of Zuck’s plan is that Muse could pay for itself through the transactions it handles. I could see charging a percentage of verified savings working too. That’s my speculation: save me $1,000 and I’d happily give you $100. If a business collects $5 for completing a task, the cost of getting it done matters a lot. That includes the failed attempts. Bring that cost down far enough and tasks that weren’t worth automating become profitable. That’s where $NBIS and @nebiustf come in. If this model catches on, other companies will need affordable inference to make their own agents worth running. Nebius has published an example of what that could look like. Across its own 120-task compliance benchmark, a system using Nemotron Ultra on Token Factory achieved 72% lower cost and 20% higher precision than its GPT-5.5 prototype. Those gains came from changing both the model and the surrounding software. My bet is that lower costs let more agent businesses earn their keep, giving Nebius more customers and more work to run.
