My introduction to golf in Scotland was the Braid Hills Golf Course. I had tacked it on last minute for my day of arrival as a cheap loop on a warmup course - almost a throwaway round. To my surprise, I was utterly charmed and visually stunned by this gem designed by Bob Ferguson and Peter McEwan in 1893. Frankly, the views of Edinburgh, including Arthur’s Seat and Edinburgh Castle, are so dazzling that they would be worth the price of admission alone. Coupled with the quirky, hilly, short-but-challenging golf course and its wild greens, it felt like the deal of the trip and a perfect way to begin a Scottish golf adventure.

The @britishmuseum has delivered the most incredible museum experience with the Bayeux tapestry. As a former exhibition designer I don’t think have ever seen anything so brilliantly displayed. It’s breathtaking, still can’t get over it.
