Today I had a different way of thinking about the future of the Agent Internet. Maybe Agent Cards are just one instance of a much broader idea. HTML, JSON, OpenAPI, MCP, database schemas, documentation… they are all structured semantic representations. The real breakthrough isn’t inventing another card format. The breakthrough is using LLMs to understand these semantic structures, then continuously: Search → Match → Evaluate → Adapt → Grow Instead of building a static network, Agents dynamically organize themselves into new teams, markets, workflows, and economies. Perhaps the future Agent Internet won’t be built from pages. It will be built from semantic structures that LLMs can discover, match and reorganize. Every AI Agent should publish a machine-readable agent-card.json describing: • Identity • Capabilities • Skills • Inputs & Outputs • Permissions • Endpoints • Cost • Reputation • Composability The future is not about searching documents. The future is about discovering capabilities. Imagine an LLM searching millions of Agent Cards across the Internet—not by keywords, but by semantic capability matching. The LLM doesn’t ask: “Which webpage mentions swapping tokens?” It asks: “Which Agent can transform USDC into SOL?” Agent Cards become the nodes. Capability relationships become the edges. Together they form a Semantic Agent Graph. Planning replaces browsing. Invocation replaces clicking. Instead of forcing every developer into a centralized registry, every Agent simply publishes its own agent-card.json, just like every website publishes HTML. Search engines and LLMs discover, understand, compose, and invoke them automatically. This is not just Agent Search. It is an Agent Internet. HTML made documents discoverable.
