With seller-focused messaging, it's always better to focus less on the symptom and more on the disease.
In 7 months of 2026, I tested cold email and LinkedIn DMs side x side for prospecting with similar messaging. Sent 38k emails and 3.8K DMs. Reply rates averaged 1%-3% for email and 26%-33% for DMs. DMs were the clear winner.
