🇺🇸 BABYBAY reflects on G2's Group Stage run so far: "It was a good one. It was crazy. I remember when we were going into the tournament, we were like, we just need to beat TYLOO and then we feel like we can win it all. And I think that still stands. I think we gave an extremely hard fight to PRX, like we always do, but this one felt different. It felt like we were ready for them, more ready for them than we were in the past. And it still didn't go our way, but whatever. Going into this Liquid game, we've always been a team that bounces back from losses, so I don't think we were second-guessing ourselves at all that we could beat Liquid. I think we were ready for Liquid. I think they had a hot start. We started off a little bit slow, needed to warm up, but once we did, I mean, you could just tell the difference in the teams. We have way more experience than them. So they put up a good fight, but yeah, overall really happy with the group stage that we had. I think losing to Paper Rex the way that we did is the perfect thing for going into a playoff scenario. So yeah." (via Beijing Youth Daily)

🇷🇺 nAts on why Team Liquid couldn't go further in Champs: "I think we should consider that we're having a lot of changes, and we also need to understand that we are competing against teams who have at least a roster, or at least the main part of the roster, for many, many years. So I think we do need to consider that. I mean, yeah, that's one of the things. And second... actually, I think that's one of the main things why the internationals are sometimes not going our way. But yeah, for me, we just shouldn't give up. We should just keep going, and the luck will be on our side one day anyway. So you just should work, and that's it." (via @otsendpoem of @VAL_BWIKI)

🇺🇸 G2 valyn: "My only thoughts going into the game were just the same mentality I've had the whole tournament, honestly, of just trying to go out, have fun, and be the best version of myself. I've been trying to focus on my own individual play more in this tournament, and I started off a bit slow in this game, but I knew my teammates were playing insane and I could get my way back into it. I think I'm finding a better balance for myself of how to be a good IGL and a good shot caller in the game, but also focus on my individual. So I didn't really care about all the headlines and all that stuff. I was just focused on me, on the team. And I guess the only emotional thing I was feeling was, 'We're not leaving. This is not the end.' The game was going pretty smooth for us, but when it wasn't, I just refused to quit. I know all my teammates did as well. Taking a flight tomorrow morning to LA was not happening in this world. So we were just really focused on making it to playoffs. It's a bit of a relief, but I've felt this relief before many times, and every time we've messed it up and let it slip after we got this win. So I'm still learning from that and going to keep my same mentality, keep my focus on the boys and myself, and just go out and try to win playoffs as well. I try not to worry too much about anything else other than my team." (via @JustGold3n)
