Though it hasn’t been directly addressed/questioned, there is a name that hasn’t been said almost at all in training camp thus far: Jeremy Sochan. Though Sochan has his offensive issues, the former 9th overall pick in 2022 has proven to be an outstanding defender and, as we saw earlier in his NBA career, can do so many different things on the floor. Nori says he can see Carlson and Potter playing backup minutes at PF/C, which is normal, but the wording is telling. Seems as if those two are, at the very least, at the top of the pecking order. Hopefully, in the coming days of training camp, we can hear about his progress and how he's fitting in with the team so far. #RipCity

There’s a head and heart thought for this. Head is definitely telling me Scoot and the team are shooting for the things Toumani said yesterday ( 50+ wins and a Top-4 seed ), but I also believe there's a base goal to win a playoff series Heart is telling me that there is a real belief and almost arrogance in the locker room that this team can win a championship. And frankly I dont blame them, the talent is undeniably there and they have a belief in themselves and each other thats vastly different to of those on the outside looking in.

This season, because it's the one with the least amount of pressure on him, feels to us like it's the one where Scoot will begin to thrive He doesn't have the weight of the franchise on him, the expected speed and style of play suits his game, and he can use his energy off the bench to his advantage Scoot could be a huge key to this team reaching another level this year and we think he's ready to finally find his groove

Blazers next days of training camp schedule: Friday- Live scrimmages with NBA Referees in attendance. Saturday- Off day to rest Sunday- Open practice with more scrimmages anticipated. #RipCity

Coach Nori on Day 3 of Blazer’s training camp: - Low intensity day, wanted to have more focus and work on installs. Live scrimmages tomorrow and an off day on Saturday. - Scoot has been phenomenal; wants him to keep playing fast. Drops the “ Westbrook “ comparison. - Scoot’s been unlucky through injury and hasn’t been able to fully blossom so far in his career. - Has been very open to players opinions to fully learn them. Open door policy, wants players to always speak their minds. - Coach Crawford is running the defense, Coach Triano is running the offense. Coach Williams is doing late game plays. #RipCity

Deni Avdija on Day 3 of Blazers training camp: - Has been awesome connecting the pieces so far. - Scoot is shooting it way better, and improvement has been noticed. -Wants to make an effort to improve as an impactful defender this season - Similar to Ja, feels the off-dribble threes are a part of the dip in shooting last year; looking forward to higher-efficiency shots. - Can adjust to being on the ball and off the ball. A lot of questions about the offence, to the point that it felt like some were looking to Deni to say something noteworthy. #RipCity

As @BlazerFreeman reported, the Blazers have found their new play-by-play announcer. Braiden Bell will be leading the call this year in Portland after spending the past season with the Phoenix Mercury of the WNBA. Bell has also served as the play-by-play announcer for the Valley Suns of the G League and various NCAA Basketball games.
