Unless I'm missing something the only thing different is that the heat sink has machined grooves in it to help the liquid metal stay in place. I don't agree that it's an "ALL NEW cooling system", it's just grooves in the heat sink. It's also not "100% free of liquid metal"

To be fair I have not opened one of these up to look at it myself, I'm just going off of what the pics show.

@XT3100 That black piece pulls out, then a clear piece, then you can push the hinge pin through. Might wanna watch a video about how to do it.

@Lucas54041353 I don’t remember whether you need one from the same model of ps4 but I’d do that just to be safe. They just slip right in. Nothing crazy you need to do.

As you get excited about new products revealed at #WWDC23, let me remind you that institutions in this country regularly pay recyclers to destroy millions of perfectly good Apple devices that you were just as excited about 3-10 years ago. #righttorepair #righttorefurbish

Got my @iFixit Mako set in today! I kept hearing people like @TronicsFix talk about how great it was... and it is! I've not used it yet (obviously), but the build quality is very high! Now something just needs to break...
